Our Beginnings: A Dream to Reality

In 2009, I made a bold decision to leave behind my teaching career to follow my true passion—owning a boutique. Encouraged by my husband’s unwavering support, I started Cowgirl Junkie. I traveled all across Texas, participating in any market or show that would let me in. From small local festivals and church shows to renowned events like Round Top and Canton Trade Days, I was gaining experience, making connections, and building a presence. Through all of it, my mom was right by my side, helping me every step of the way. Little did I know that these experiences would shape my future, eventually leading to the dream of a brick-and-mortar store.

The Birth of Turquoise Door Boutique

In 2012, I received an opportunity that changed everything. I was invited to open a co-op store in Tomball, Texas, which would become the first official home of Turquoise Door Boutique. This space was shared by a group of incredibly creative women, each owning their own businesses but sharing the same vision of community and support. As we collaborated and worked together, Turquoise Door quickly became a space filled with not only beautiful products but also a spirit of camaraderie. As time passed, many of the women who started with me moved on to open their own shops, fulfilling their individual dreams while leaving behind a legacy of inspiration.

A New Era: Going Solo in 2018

In 2018, I decided to take the plunge and make Turquoise Door Boutique truly my own. With the help of two incredible women—Robyn and Kim—I transformed the boutique into a place that reflected my vision, passion, and dedication. Their hard work, support, and endless creativity were invaluable in the journey, and I will always be grateful for everything they contributed to the success of the store. Their influence helped shape the boutique into a beloved destination, and we continue to carry their legacy with us today.
