Whether you are a consignor, volunteer, or simply a fan of unique finds, your contributions help support our mission of providing assistance to elderly individuals in need within the Houston community. With over 60 years of history, the shop has transformed from a hidden gem into a beloved icon that celebrates Houston’s past, present, and future.

Our mission is simple: to provide an enriching shopping experience while supporting our partner organizations that serve the elderly. The Guild Shop has grown from a small community project to a Houston mainstay, and every visit contributes to helping those in need.

How to Donate Goods

Donating to The Guild Shop is easy! Simply bring your donations to our loading dock on Welch Street. We accept donations Monday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Need assistance? Fill out the form on our website to arrange a pick-up for furniture donations. All donations are tax-deductible, and we are happy to provide a tax receipt. Please note that all items are subject to acceptance based on the shop’s discretion.

Consignment Rules & Guidelines

If you’re interested in consigning goods, we have specific rules to ensure a smooth process. Whether you’re consigning household items, art, clothing, jewelry, or other goods, it’s essential that all items are clean, in good condition, and presented according to our guidelines. For example, we accept a limited number of clothing items per consignment and require them to be clean, pressed, and in season. Jewelry and artwork consignment has separate guidelines as well, including the need for contracts and clear labeling.

Designer Clothing & Special Consignment

We also offer exclusive consignment for designer clothing and accessories. To consign high-end brands such as Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, and more, please contact us for an appointment. Our expert staff will guide you through the process, ensuring you receive the best value for your items.

Household & Decorative Goods

The Guild Shop accepts a wide range of household items, including china, glassware, home décor, furniture, and more. We recommend checking our calendar for specific take-in dates and for restrictions on overstocked items. Oversized furniture and decor items can also be consigned by appointment.

Jewelry and Art Consignment

Jewelry and art are crucial components of what we offer at The Guild Shop. We accept both costume and fine jewelry, and consignors can bring up to 10 pieces of jewelry for each take-in period. For art, we generally accept one piece at a time and ask that all artwork be wired for hanging. Multiple pieces may be accepted for estate consignments by appointment.
