Emzy K. is the proud owner and founder of The Barwalk. As a native San Antonian, Emzy has spent over ten years working in the tour industry, and he brings a wealth of local knowledge and a genuine love for his city to each of his tours. After graduating with a BA in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Emzy took a brief detour to New Mexico before returning home to pursue his passion for sharing San Antonio’s history. His deep connection to his roots and his desire to show visitors and locals alike the city’s vibrant past led him to create The Barwalk.

When he’s not guiding guests or leading the festivities at one of San Antonio’s many river walk parades, Emzy enjoys spending time with friends and family. Whether it’s kayaking down the Frio River, fishing on Texas’ beautiful coastline, or exploring the local music scene in Austin, Emzy embraces everything Texas has to offer.
