Welcome to Saint Patrick Catholic Community! We are delighted to have you with us. Our mission is to be a welcoming Catholic community centered around the Holy Eucharist. We are a vibrant parish located in Lake Highlands, Dallas, with over 2,000 families. Our parochial school is home to more than 400 students, and we offer a place for everyone to belong. Come grow with us in faith and join us in prayer.

Rooted in the Love of the Eucharist

At the heart of our community is a deep devotion to the Eucharist. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (1324) tells us that the Eucharist is the “source and summit” of our Christian life. As a parish, we are rooted in the love of Jesus, especially through His presence in the Eucharist. We offer multiple daily Masses and provide opportunities for individuals to have their loved ones remembered during Mass through our Mass Intentions.

Adoration: Homage to God

Adoration allows us to honor the greatness of the Lord who made us and the almighty power of the Savior who sets us free from evil (CCC 2628). Our parish offers daily Adoration, allowing us to show our love and devotion to God. This beautiful practice strengthens our connection with the divine and deepens our faith.

Prayer: A Heartfelt Connection

Prayer is central to our Catholic faith. As St. Therese of Lisieux said, prayer is “an aspiration of the heart, a simple glance directed towards heaven.” At St. Patrick, we have an active prayer chain ready to lift up your intentions. We also offer numerous prayer opportunities such as Rosaries, Evening Prayer, and Holy Hour. These opportunities provide space for connection, healing, and growth in our relationship with God.

Study: Growing in Knowledge and Love

We believe that study is a crucial part of deepening our faith. Our parish offers excellent Faith Formation programs for all ages to help individuals grow in knowledge and love of Jesus. We also host ACTS retreats and Bible study groups, providing members with opportunities to learn more about God’s Word and strengthen their spiritual journey.

St. Patrick Church is a vibrant, multi-cultural parish that warmly welcomes members from over a dozen countries worldwide. Our diverse community is united in our shared love for God, and we strive to ensure that all who walk through our doors feel supported, loved, and valued.

Serving God and Our Neighbor

Inspired by Mother Teresa’s words to be “the living expression of God’s kindness,” we seek to live out the two greatest commandments: to love God and love our neighbor. Our parish offers numerous outreach opportunities, a healing ministry, youth ministry, fellowship, and Faith Formation. Through these ministries, we aim to develop a deeper love for God through learning and service to our neighbors.

Our History

St. Patrick Catholic Church was established on March 17, 1963, by Bishop Thomas K. Gorman, with Monsignor Fred J. Mosman serving as the first pastor. The original building, an all-purpose space with classrooms and an auditorium, was completed in 1964. The church’s permanent worship space was opened on June 11, 1981. Since then, our parish has expanded with a gymnasium, school additions, a parish office, and a rectory, all completed by November 1987. The worship space underwent renovations in 2011. St. Patrick Church celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2023, marking six decades of faith, community, and service in Lake Highlands.
