Sereno Group was founded in 2006 by a small group of pioneering real estate professionals who broke away from the impersonal mega-office model to create something different. Focused on building a boutique agency, they aimed to amplify hyper-local intelligence and foster agent collaboration to provide clients with the best possible service. Meet the Business Owner – Chris Trapani

Chris Trapani is the Founder and CEO of Sereno Group. Along with his lifetime best friend, Ryan Iwanaga, Chris co-founded the company with the vision of creating a real estate firm that focused on personalized service and a deep understanding of local markets. Before launching Sereno Group, Chris served as President & COO of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Silicon Valley, where he oversaw 17 offices and more than 1,400 Realtors. Chris has a wealth of experience in real estate sales, brokerage operations, and growth strategies.

A Saratoga native, Chris graduated from Saratoga High School in 1985, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1990. He went on to attend the Wharton School of Business’ CEO Leadership course in 2004. Beginning his real estate career in 1990, Chris quickly ascended in the industry, becoming Coldwell Banker/NRT’s youngest President in the nation by the age of 37. After resigning in 2006 to follow his dream, Chris launched Sereno Group, a company dedicated to providing exceptional service, integrity, and local market expertise.

Outside of his professional life, Chris resides in Monte Sereno with his wife Kirsten and their three children.
