Mr. Cassette, established in 1958, began as a recording studio known as Austin Custom Records. In the early days, we were one of the few places that offered custom record cutting services. Clients could bring in their audio tapes, and we would cut them directly to vinyl records. This innovative service quickly became a valuable asset to those seeking immediate access to physical copies of their audio, setting the foundation for the company’s growth in the years that followed.

Expansion and Evolution

As technology progressed, so did Mr. Cassette. In the 1960s, with the emergence of audio cassettes and cartridges, the demand for cassette and cartridge conversions grew significantly. We expanded our services to include the transfer of audio tapes to these new formats, offering greater versatility and convenience for our customers. As the business continued to evolve, we decided to rebrand ourselves to reflect this growth, and in the process, the name was changed to Mr. Cassette – ACR, Inc.
