I was born on Valentine’s Day, 1983, in Maryland, USA, and moved to New York City in 2011. I found my life-love in 2014 and married her in August 2018. It was also in 2014 that I began adding headshots to my portfolio—she was one of my first clients. I’m incredibly lucky to have her support me every day in pursuing my passion.

A Passionate Journey with Photography and Acting

I’ve had a camera kit by my side since middle school, and my love for photography has only grown. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2005 with a degree in Film and Digital Media, and since then, I’ve been capturing moments professionally.

In addition to photography, I’m also an actor, a passion that fuels my desire to listen to others. I was cast in the ABC Diversity showcase in 2009, appeared on Law and Order: SVU, and most recently starred in Adam Sandler’s The Week Of on Netflix. I’ve also been in national commercials and print ads, including a notable role as “Mr. K” in Saudi Arabia, where I promoted Asian cuisine on TV. For that, I even learned Farsi.

Cultural Roots and Influences

I come from a mixed cultural background, with Chinese, Southern European (French-Spanish-Italian), and Israeli roots, confirmed through AncestryDNA. This diverse heritage influences my approach to both photography and life.

In photography, I draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including fantasy, film noir, the European New Wave, and street photojournalism. Some of my favorite photographers are Henri Cartier-Bresson, Lillian Bassman, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, and many others whose work inspires my style.
