Transition to Digital Services

In 1998, Jim Berg acquired Matson Multimedia and set his sights on the digital future. Recognizing the growing demand for digital services, Berg began expanding the company’s offerings to meet the needs of the digital age. His vision led to significant growth and innovation, as Matson Multimedia transitioned to provide digital audio and video services.

Acquisition and Expansion

As part of Berg’s strategy for growth, he acquired the production team of John Negrete (Disc & Tape Solutions) in 2006. This addition brought expertise in graphic design, photo restoration, and CD/DVD duplication of optical discs, further enhancing Matson Multimedia’s capabilities. Berg’s leadership and commitment to quality service turned Matson Multimedia into a well-respected media icon in San Antonio.

The Third Chapter: New Ownership and Creative Direction

In January 2020, Matson Multimedia entered its third chapter under new ownership. John Negrete, a long-time media professional, took the helm with a renewed focus on creative strategies that cater to the visually demanding culture of today’s media landscape. With his extensive experience and vision for the future, Negrete is dedicated to continuing the company’s legacy and pushing the boundaries of audio and video production.
