The “Tail” of LionShare

It all started on a typical summer day. The weather was hot, a thunderstorm was brewing, and I was working in my home office with my golden retriever, Thurman, by my side. Suddenly, lightning struck my house, knocking out the power and ruining my equipment. After calling for repairs, I realized that relying on slow internet and working from home was not going to cut it anymore.

My attempts to work at local coffee shops, libraries, and even my neighbor’s Wi-Fi were unsuccessful. It became clear that I needed a better solution. That’s when I discovered the concept of coworking spaces. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try and paid for a day pass to a coworking space downtown. The experience was far from ideal: I spent hours in traffic, paid for parking, and struggled with awkward encounters with “residents.” It became evident that the coworking spaces available were not meeting the needs of people like me—those working from home who occasionally need a professional, quiet, and well-equipped space.

The Vision for LionShare Cowork

After experiencing the challenges of traditional coworking spaces, I decided to create a better option. I began researching coworking concepts and identified the issues that needed to be addressed, such as high costs, inconvenient locations, and limited amenities. After six months of searching for the perfect location, I found a retail shopping mall that met all the necessary criteria: free and plentiful parking, easy access, proximity to food options, and a location close to my home.

I then set out to design a space that would offer great furniture, plenty of amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. I wanted to create a place where people could work efficiently, network with others, and feel comfortable without breaking the bank. This vision became LionShare Cowork, a space that truly supports small businesses and remote workers.
