Journey Church was founded with a clear purpose: to see the city of Jacksonville transformed by the power of the Gospel for the glory of God. Our mission is to reach people of all walks of life with the message of hope, grace, and redemption found in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Gospel has the power to impact every area of life, from personal growth to community transformation, and our vision is to see that power at work in our generation.

We are passionate about serving our city and are dedicated to making a tangible difference through outreach, partnerships, and service projects. Our goal is to help people discover the love of Jesus, deepen their faith, and live out their calling in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

Our History and Foundation

Journey Church was founded in 2007 by Eric and Mary Jo, who had a deep desire to build a church that would meet people where they were, regardless of background or past experiences. They planted the church with the hope of seeing lives transformed and a city renewed through the Gospel message. Over the years, Journey Church has grown and developed, but the heart of the church has always remained the same— to glorify God and make disciples who can impact their world.

Meet Our Founders

Eric and Mary Jo are the founding pastors of Journey Church. With over 15 years of ministry experience, they have a passion for preaching the Gospel and discipling people to live out their faith with boldness and purpose. Eric and Mary Jo’s heart for Jacksonville and its people drives their tireless efforts to see God’s kingdom grow in this city.
