A Welcoming Community

Our mission is to proclaim Christ through faith, hope, and love. We welcome individuals from all walks of life, offering a variety of services to meet the needs of all who wish to participate. Whether you’re looking for traditional worship, contemporary services, or Spanish-language services, we offer something for everyone. Our services take place every Sunday at 8:30 AM, 10 AM, 11:45 AM (contemporary worship), and 1:30 PM (worship in Spanish), ensuring there is a space where you can come together in worship.

The Foundation of Cathedral of Hope

Cathedral of Hope (CoH) was originally founded in 1970 as Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) Dallas by a small group of 12 friends who gathered in homes to share faith and fellowship. From these humble beginnings, CoH has grown into a vibrant congregation of believers, becoming the world’s largest progressive church with a primary outreach to the LGBTQ community. Over time, we became a congregation of the United Church of Christ, a mainline Protestant denomination, and continue to grow both in numbers and impact.

We have a rich history, but we also live fully in the present, embracing the future with an open heart. As we continue to grow, our church remains committed to being a place of love, inclusivity, and service to others. The values we were founded upon continue to guide us as we work to build a community that reflects Christ’s love for all people.
