Harris Parkway Animal Hospital has been serving Fort Worth’s pets since 1985. Originally established as Candleridge Animal Clinic, we moved to our current location in 1999 and rebranded as Harris Parkway Animal Hospital. Consistency and excellence in pet care have always been at the core of our mission. Dr. Young, who has practiced veterinary medicine for nearly 30 years, has worked alongside Dr. Blue for 25 of those years. Dr. Jill McNeal joined our team six years ago, and together, they form a dedicated group committed to providing the best possible care for your pets.

Meet the Business Owner: Dr. Richard Y.

Dr. Richard Young, the owner and head veterinarian at Harris Parkway Animal Hospital, has a lifelong passion for animal care. His journey began in high school, where he worked alongside a veterinarian, sparking his interest in the field. He went on to pursue a degree in veterinary science at Texas A&M, receiving a BS and a Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1981. Dr. Young further enhanced his expertise by earning a Canine/Feline Specialty designation from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) in 2000. Additionally, in 2010, he became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). Dr. Young is deeply committed to ensuring that dogs and cats live their healthiest and happiest lives.
