Our History

In 2002, Awesome Doggies was founded with a simple yet powerful vision: to provide dogs and cats in San Diego with a stress-free, mobile grooming service that would replace the anxiety often felt at traditional grooming shops. This idea was revolutionary at the time, and we’ve been bringing our services directly to pet owners’ doorsteps ever since.

Our goal has always been to make pets feel comfortable, happy, and loved throughout their grooming process. Elyse A. is the owner and managing director of Awesome Doggies. With a lifelong love for animals, she has dedicated her career to providing high-quality pet care. Elyse’s experience spans from working with household pets like cats and dogs to exotic animals such as skunks and ferrets. Her passion for animal care led her to start Awesome Doggies, where she continues to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the best grooming experience for every pet.

Elyse’s journey in the pet grooming industry began in 2004 when she started working as a groomer in San Diego. Her hard work and dedication led her to receive the prestigious National Groomer of the Year award from Aussie Pet Mobile in 2009, recognizing her outstanding performance and customer service.
