Our Journey and History

Established in 1998, Austin Potter’s House began as a small Bible study in the home of Pastor Terry and Jody Wakefield. They moved to Austin, TX, in May 1997 with a desire to plant a church that would make an impact in the lives of individuals and families. Their journey started humbly, with Bible studies held in their living room, and soon after, they leased a small storefront facility to accommodate a growing congregation. As the church flourished, God continued to bless their efforts, leading them to purchase their own property in 2009. Today, the church meets in this building, where they worship, pray, and gather to experience God’s presence and transformation.

Throughout these years, Pastor Terry and Jody Wakefield have witnessed God’s hand at work in countless lives. Their heart’s desire is to see souls come to Christ, marriages restored, families healed, and individuals set free from the bondage of sin. They are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play a part in the incredible work God continues to do in their community.
