Safety as Our Priority
Safety is at the core of everything we do at Apex Helicopters. We operate with the highest safety standards, ensuring that all protocols are followed meticulously. As a certificated Charter Operation through the FAA, our aircraft and pilots are held to strict safety standards. As a result, we are proud to maintain a completely accident-free safety record.
Highly Experienced Pilots
Our pilots are highly trained and experienced professionals. Every pilot at Apex Helicopters holds an FAA Commercial and Instrument Certificate. The minimum qualifications for our pilots are 2,500 flight hours of verifiable helicopter flight time, though the average experience level is 4,500 hours. Additionally, all of our pilots undergo comprehensive annual ground and flight training and evaluations in accordance with FAA requirements for medical flight currency and certification.
Training and Evaluation Process
Ground Training
Every year, the Chief Pilot and Safety Officer conduct ground school for each of our pilots. The required courses include operational procedures for Part 133, 135, and 137, as well as Operator Qualifications (OQ) for pipeline patrol support.
Flight Training
Flight training is conducted annually for each pilot, focusing on aircraft-specific skills. Training includes Part 133 External Load, Part 135 Air Taxi, Part 137 Aerial Application, Powerline Patrol, and Pipeline Patrol operations.
At Apex Helicopters, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in both safety and service, ensuring that each flight meets our rigorous safety protocols while delivering the highest quality of commercial helicopter operations.
