Vision TBC: Our Journey of Discernment

Trinity Baptist Church recognizes that every believer has a deep desire to understand God’s will for their lives and for the life of the church. Yet, we understand that this process is not always simple. It often requires a journey of self-reflection, prayer, discernment, and obedience. As a congregation, we have chosen to walk this path together, trusting that God will reveal His vision for our future.

This journey, which we call Vision TBC, has been a year-long process of seeking God’s guidance for our church’s future. We have engaged in prayer, reflection, and conversations that have shaped our understanding of God’s purpose for us as a body of believers. Through this journey, God has placed dreams and hopes within our hearts that we are eager to pursue as a church family.

The Four Promises: Growing Together in Faith

As a church, we make Four Promises that guide us in our commitment to spiritual growth and service. These promises help shape the way we live out our faith as individuals and as a community of believers. They represent the foundation of how we grow in love, Christlikeness, community, and service.

I will grow in Love

Love is the central theme of the Gospel. We promise to grow in love – loving God with all our hearts and loving our neighbors as ourselves. This promise calls us to be intentional in showing compassion, kindness, and grace to everyone we meet.

I will grow in Christlikeness

We are committed to growing in the likeness of Christ. This promise encourages us to reflect His character in everything we do, from our attitudes and words to our actions and decisions. We strive to be more like Jesus each day, sharing His love and truth with others.

I will grow in Community

As believers, we understand that faith is not meant to be lived alone. This promise affirms our commitment to building strong relationships within the church community and with the world. We are called to support and encourage one another, offering a place where individuals can belong, grow, and serve together.

I will grow in Service

Service is at the core of Christ’s ministry. We promise to be active in service both within our church and in the wider world.
