Founder’s Journey

Randy Taylor, the founder of Taylor Sign & Design, Inc., brought a wealth of experience to the company. With a background as a Printing Consultant and Graphics Designer for seven years, Randy saw an opportunity to expand into the electrical sign business. In 1998, he purchased Slade Sign Company, a small vinyl graphics business that had been established in 1928. Randy quickly doubled their sales in the first year, which led him to recognize the growing need for certified electrical sign companies in the area.

Expanding the Business

In July 2001, Randy passed the Florida State exam for Electrical Specialty Contractors, officially transforming the direction of Taylor Sign & Design, Inc. His vision for the company became clearer, and he began focusing on providing top-quality electrical sign services. In June 2004, Randy purchased Commercial Sign Technologies, Inc., a move that opened the doors to further opportunities for growth and development in the sign industry.
