Taste Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a simple but powerful mission: to feed people one community at a time. In a world where one in six Americans faces food insecurity, Taste Project strives to make a difference. In Tarrant County alone, 36% of the food-insecure population lives above the poverty level and doesn’t qualify for government assistance. This gap in support is where Taste Project steps in, aiming to provide a sustainable solution to hunger.

Our Mission: To Feed, Educate, and Serve

The mission of Taste Project is rooted in the desire to feed, educate, and serve the community in meaningful ways. Inspired by the verse, “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8), the organization works to create an environment where everyone, regardless of financial situation, has access to nourishing meals. Taste Project goes beyond just feeding the hungry—it seeks to empower individuals with knowledge and tools to create long-term solutions to hunger in their community.

A Unique Dining Experience: Pay What You Can

Taste Project’s first initiative is a non-profit restaurant with a unique “give and take” concept. The restaurant’s menu has no prices, allowing guests to choose how much they want to pay based on what they can afford.

This innovative model allows everyone to enjoy a nutritious meal, regardless of their financial situation, while also encouraging the community to contribute to the well-being of others.
