History of insideOUT

Established in 2018, insideOUT was created to elevate the dining scene in Hillcrest. Owned by Matthew Ramon, insideOUT has become a beloved part of the community. Located in the stunning Eitol Towers, the restaurant features a main dining room that opens up to an outdoor atrium, complete with a scenic water feature, switchback walkway, and cozy seating nooks. It’s San Diego’s only urban oasis, providing a serene and stylish space for guests to enjoy delicious food and drinks.

Meet the Business Owner – Matthew (Matty) Ramon

Matthew Ramon, better known as Matty, has been an integral part of the San Diego community for over 30 years. Originally from Michigan, Matty moved to California in 1991 and played a key role in the opening of Hamburger Mary’s (now Urban MOs). Mentored by Chris Shaw, Matty worked his way up to co-owner of Urban MOs and several other Hillcrest restaurants. In 2022, he became the owner and CEO of Urban MOs.
