At Grace Church, we believe that God has laid out His mission for us through His Word. His mission includes Grace Church as a partner in reaching people for His glory. We are committed to joining God on His mission field, sharing the Good News and spreading His love to the world.

Our Mission: Making Resilient Disciples

“We exist to make resilient disciples who reorient their lives to the way of Jesus.” This is the heartbeat of Grace Church. Our goal is to help individuals grow in their relationship with Jesus, reorienting their lives to reflect His teachings. We invite you to join us for weekend services or at a house church near you to become part of our vibrant community.

Missionary People: Sent to Be Sent

At Grace Church, we believe that we are “sent ones,” saved to be sent. Our God is a missionary God, and we are called to be missionary people—focused on spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth. Our mission is to reach people with the Good News and to live lives that reflect the heart of God’s mission.

Gospel Community: A Multi-Ethnic Family

We are a multi-ethnic family formed by the Good News that Jesus has reconciled us to God and to each other. Through the gospel, we are united as one body, diverse in background but unified in Christ. Grace Church embraces and celebrates the beauty of diversity, welcoming everyone into the family of God.

We believe in the tangible presence and power of God, which we seek through a culture of prayer and worship. At Grace Church, we prioritize God’s presence in our worship services, house churches, and personal lives, continually seeking to experience His transformative power.

As followers of Christ, we practice counter-formation by walking in the way of Jesus. This means living out the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives, allowing His example to transform us into His image. At Grace Church, we strive to be disciples who are constantly growing and being shaped by the Word of God.

We believe in living sacrificially, following the example of the early church. We are willing to give our time, money, and possessions to further God’s Kingdom here on earth. Our generosity is a reflection of God’s love and grace, and we give freely to support His mission and the needs of others.

Our History: A Legacy of Faith and Growth

Grace Church San Diego was established in 1912. Throughout its history, the church has been dedicated to sharing the message of God’s grace. Under the leadership of Dr. Tim LaHaye, Grace Church founded Christian High School, Christian Heritage College (now San Diego Christian College), and the Institute for Creation Research. For several years, the church was known as “Scott Memorial” before officially becoming Grace Church San Diego in 2009.
