History of City Dog

City Dog opened its doors on Park Blvd. in San Diego’s East Village in 2005. Since then, we’ve been providing high-quality pet foods, treats, toys, grooming, and washing services to dogs in the area. We take great pride in seeing our city dogs grow strong and healthy, with wagging tails and happy faces.

Meet the Business Owner: Gary Laliberte

Gary Laliberte is the founder and owner of City Dog. Before opening City Dog, Gary spent over 20 years working in the mechanical contracting field. Recognizing the need for a specialized shop in downtown San Diego that catered to the needs of local pet owners (including his own), Gary decided to open City Dog in 2005. Since then, he’s been committed to providing a top-notch experience for both pets and their owners in the heart of the city.
