The Bishop Arts Merchant’s Association (BADMA) is dedicated to fostering a thriving community through the promotion and support of local businesses. We work tirelessly to bring people together, hosting events such as Bastille Day celebrations and Wine Walks to connect residents, visitors, and businesses. Our goal is to cultivate relationships and provide opportunities for both old and new connections within our community.

The Bishop Arts District Experience

The Bishop Arts District, located in the heart of North Oak Cliff and just five minutes from downtown Dallas, is home to over 60 distinctive businesses, including boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, and theaters. This unique shopping district combines historical charm with modern flair, offering visitors a wide range of experiences—from dining and shopping to art and entertainment.

Events & Activities

The district is alive with energy, especially on weekends when many shops stay open late, creating a perfect environment for a leisurely stroll, shopping, and dining experience. One of our signature events is the popular Wine Walk, held 3-4 times a year on the first Thursday of each month. This event allows guests to sample wines while exploring the diverse local businesses.
