We are committed to creating an environment that fosters personal transformation, community engagement, and a meaningful relationship with God.

Our Mission

Our mission is to serve the South Austin community by being a beacon of light, compassion, and hope. We strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we encounter by providing opportunities for growth, service, and fellowship. Austin New Church exists to be a place where people can come as they are, find belonging, and engage in meaningful relationships. Through our ministries and outreach programs, we aim to meet the needs of our community and impact South Austin with love and grace.

History of Austin New Church

Austin New Church was established in 2008 as a church plant with a vision to reach the South Austin area. In its early years, the church was a nomadic congregation, meeting in various locations throughout the South Austin area. Despite the challenges of being a transient church, Austin New Church grew and thrived, finding creative ways to connect with people and serve the community.

In January of 2018, the church came under the umbrella of the United Methodist Church, which marked an exciting new chapter in our history. Along with this partnership, we were gifted our beautiful new campus, located in the heart of the 04. This campus is more than just a building; it is a place where our community can come together to worship, connect, and serve.

Our campus is a key part of our identity, serving as the central hub of activity for Austin New Church. It’s not just where we gather on Sundays but also a place that remains vibrant and alive throughout the week. From community events and service projects to small groups and youth programs, our campus is the heart of our ministry and mission. We are excited to continue using this space to make an even greater impact on the lives of people in South Austin.
