Our History

Established in 2008, Ironthorn Media was founded with a passion for video production, marketing, and storytelling. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with small businesses, non-profits, and documentary filmmakers, creating impactful content that resonates with audiences. Meet the Business Owner – Sophie R.

Sophie R., the founder and owner of Ironthorn Media, is an experienced filmmaker and freelance journalist with a global background. Her feature documentary, Yellow Fever – Uncovering the Navajo Uranium Legacy, aired on PBS’s World Channel in 2015 as part of the “America Reframed” series. Sophie is also the executive director of Issue Television, a 501(c)(3) media-for-education nonprofit. In addition to film production, Sophie is deeply involved in media development projects, online marketing for small businesses, crowdfunding, and consulting. Her diverse skills and experience ensure that Ironthorn Media produces high-quality content that drives results and makes an impact.
