History of Journey Church San Antonio

Journey Church’s story began in 2005 when 16 people gathered in a living room in Northwest San Antonio with a shared vision and passion: to love God and love people. From those humble beginnings, Journey Church embarked on a journey of growth, reaching out to the community and expanding its influence. In March of 2005, the church launched its first service at the Fiesta 16 Theaters, marking the beginning of a new chapter for this growing church family.

By September 2005, the church made a move to Boone Elementary, and in 2006, Journey Church expanded to offer a second service. As the church continued to grow, it moved to the Leon Springs Dance Hall in far Northwest San Antonio in October 2006.

In 2015, God opened a door for Journey Church to move to its current location near De Zavala and I-10, allowing us to continue growing and meeting the needs of the community. This transition helped Journey Church extend its reach to more people and provide a larger space for worship, ministry, and fellowship. From its early days in a living room to its current thriving location, Journey Church continues to experience God’s faithfulness.
