Dr. Joseph Marchi, DVM, and Amber Marchi, RVT, are the passionate owners and operators of Pet Euthanasia at Home. Since 2012, Dr. Marchi has been committed to providing compassionate care for pets at the end of their lives. After working in high-stress emergency settings, he recognized the need for a peaceful, at-home euthanasia service. In 2015, he established Pet Euthanasia at Home to help families navigate the heart-wrenching process of saying goodbye to their beloved pets in the comfort of their own homes. Amber, a registered veterinary technician with 20 years of experience, shares a similar dedication to animal care, particularly for exotic pets like birds, reptiles, and rodents.

Our Philosophy

At Dr. Marchi’s Pet Euthanasia at Home, we believe in offering support and understanding during one of the most difficult times in a pet owner’s life. Both Dr. Marchi and Amber have been pet lovers their entire lives and understand the emotional toll that comes with losing a pet. Their goal is to provide comfort and guidance to families when it’s time to say goodbye, ensuring that pets are treated with dignity and compassion.

Dr. Thuy-Vi Nguyen, DVM – Associate Doctor

Dr. Nguyen, originally from the Bay Area, brings over 10 years of experience in emergency and specialty care, along with a passion for rescue and shelter medicine. She joined the team in 2020 to help owners navigate end-of-life decisions for their pets. Her compassionate approach ensures that families have the support they need during this emotional time.

Dr. Michael Handley, DVM – Relief Doctor

Dr. Handley graduated from The Ohio State University in 2012 and specializes in general veterinary care. After completing an internship at VCA AVCC, he joined the Pet Euthanasia at Home team in 2020. Dr. Handley’s goal is to make the euthanasia process as peaceful as possible, allowing pets to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of their own home. He and his wife, Julie, enjoy traveling and spending time with their two fur babies.
