History of Cedar Oaks Inn

Established in 2020, Cedar Oaks Inn is housed in a historic farmhouse built in 1897. This beautiful property invites guests to take a step back in time while enjoying gourmet food, rich libations, and modern amenities designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation. The Birdcage Saloon: A Timeless Escape

One of the unique features of Cedar Oaks Inn is the 1800’s Carriage House, also known as The Birdcage Saloon. This historic saloon is available for guests looking to relax with their favorite travel companion. Originally a dairy farm that operated until the 1950s, the home was once part of a larger property with a mob-run gambling casino and cat house called Cedar Oaks. While the casino and cat house have long since closed, the legacy lives on in the name of the property. The farmhouse has been lovingly restored, and the home’s charm continues to capture the hearts of all who visit. The Inn’s location, rich history, and unique features make it the perfect getaway for anyone seeking a retreat with a bit of local history.

Meet the Owners: Tanya and Jeff N.

The dream of Cedar Oaks Inn became a reality when Tanya and Jeff N. purchased the property in 1995 with the vision of restoring it and opening a bed and breakfast. Jeff, a local who has lived in the neighborhood since 1968, even joked about having vandalized the house as a child before returning to restore it years later. They’ve worked hard to bring the property back to life, and their personal connection to the house adds to its warmth and welcoming atmosphere. Tanya and Jeff are dedicated to ensuring every guest enjoys their time at Cedar Oaks Inn and experiences the same good feelings that so many others have shared with them over the years.
